Next Gen News - Episode #11

March 31st, 2010

And now we return to our regularly scheduled program. Joey and I are back with a good, old fashioned version of Next Gen News: 10 gaming items (or less) in 10 minutes (or less).

This week's discussions range from external memory usage on the Xbox 360, Rare not looking to rewind the clock with old franchise revivals, PAX East being such a huge hit, and one jackass who decided to attempt to steal game code of Breach while at PAX East.

I almost killed a man with my bare hands.  Download and find out why.

Next Gen News: PAX - Day 2

March 27th, 2010

Day 2 of PAX is over and it absolutely kicked our asses.  Sink your teeth (ears) into over 20 minutes of Erik and I arguing about what was good and bad about the games we played on the show floor.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Red Dead Redemption and Crackdown 2 all make the list of topics for tonight's show.  So, strap in, shut up and listen.  We are serious about some video games.

Next Gen News: PAX - Day 1

March 27th, 2010

Day 1 of PAX East is officially over. And between all the cosplayers, table-top games, and general nerd happenings going on at the convention, Joey and I got a chance to check out a few games. Games we're going to talk about right now. Also, please keep in mind that today wasn't filled with blockbuster AAA titles, but some of what we did get to play astonished us. A Certain other game, not so much. But we'll get to that in the podcast!

And because we're all about choice here with Next Gen News, you have the option to download the show to listen to whenever you want, or subscribe to us on iTunes. And don't forget, we'll be back tomorrow night with Day 2 of PAX East. But until then, enjoy Day 1 of PAX East with Joey and myself, Erik Norris.

Next Gen News: PAX - PlayStation Move

March 25th, 2010

And here we are at PAX East! Or more specifically, a day before PAX East officially kicks off. But that doesn't mean Joey and I don't have things to talk about.

Today we got invited to a little event for press, and some public, to test out the Sony PlayStation Move motion controller.  And now we're going to talk about it. This is a special edition of Next Gen News, so it's a tad bit longer than normal. But within the extra ten minutes of air time you'll hear everything we have to say about Sony's motion controller as we discuss the games we got to check out and how the actual tech differentiates itself from what the Wii offers

Next Gen News - Episode #10

March 24th, 2010

Here we are at the 10th anniversary of Next Gen News. It's been a long strange road, hasn't it? But Joey and I aren't done just yet. This week we talk the new DLC business strategy for EA Games, the newly announced Nintendo DS, and, most importantly, video game prostitution (not kidding).

And as always, you have the option of downloading the show for later listening or subscribing to us on iTunes. Either way, give a listen and leave some feedback/rate the show. Now get in on the celebration!

Next Gen News - Episode #9

March 17th, 2010

And we're back! After a week off we return rejuvenated and ready to roll with more gaming talk. You know the deal by now; we deliver you 10 gaming news items (or less) in 10 minutes (or less). That way you're not sitting there listening to two morons babble on for way longer than necessary (we come close).

This week's episode discusses February sales figures (they aren't boring, promise), the Playstation 'Move' motion controller, who's to blame for determining the cost of the Modern Warfare 2 DLC, and more!

And as per usual, you have the option of either downloading the episode for later listening, or subscribing to us on iTunes. And as a reminder, if you go the iTunes route be sure to leave us some feedback. So far we're hearing good things, and that's not just the stuff coming from Joey's wife.

Next Gen News - Episode #8

March 3rd, 2010

Hey y'all, welcome back to CraveOnline's weekly gaming podcast where we talk about all the juicy happenings of the industry. Let's kick formalities, odds are you know the deal: gaming news in ten minutes or less.

This week we talk about the shitstorm that has spun out of control between Activision and Infinity Ward, Valve admitting they made a mistake by not supporting the Playstation 3, StarCraft II's targeted release window (it's hilarious), and theories for Epic Games' big announcement at this year's E3.

And as always, you can download the podcast for later listening or subscribe to us on iTunes. Leave us some feedback too. Criticize us, damnit! Otherwise we're just going to assume everything we do is brilliant and before you know it, we're going to be acting like a couple of Axel Roses. Just a bag of douches.
