Next Gen News - Episode #18

May 19th, 2010

Eighteen episodes in and thanks to continuously juicy news within the gaming industry, Joey and I still have things to talk about. Although if the desire is out there, we can probably pull off a completely silent episode in the future.

As most of you are aware, Next Gen News is Crave's weekly gaming podcast where we talk (around an actual water cooler) about the gaming industry in a quick and concise ten minutes. However, there is occasional meandering. Like this week's episode, for example.

But that doesn't mean we don't talk up some good stuff. This week we cover the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 "Resurgence Pack" DLC, Green Day being more reconizable than The Beatles, what a "simplier" Zelda really means, and much more!

Next Gen News - Episode #17

May 12th, 2010

Week #16 was a blast, wasn't it? Well Episode #17 is even better! Ok, that isn't entirely accurate. Truth is this week is pretty light on the news. Therefore, we've resorted to gimmicks! This week's show is completely unedited outside of noise effects for topic changes. Now you can decide if a show that goes through post-production editing actually does make us sound like Gods as opposed to stuttering idiots.

Episode #17 covers two game announcements that happened over the past week, EA Games' revenue report for Fiscal Year 2010, the price we'll all pay for new Modern Warfare 2 DLC, why Netflix will never start shipping games, and more!

Next Gen News - Episode #16

May 5th, 2010

Hello everybody. Welcome to our super sweet sixteen birthday bash. Inside you'll find Joey breaking down and crying like a little girl because he was given a Porsche and not the Hummer he asked for. Ok, that isn't entirely true. At no point are we given gifts in this episode. Instead, we're the ones giving out a gift this week. The gift of our voices. Be pumped!

By now you all know the gist of our show. Joey Davidson and Myself, Erik Norris, buckle down to discuss the gaming industry, doing so in a quick and quasi-orderly fashion in ten minutes or less. This week we talk the Bungie/Activision business merger, the new Call of Duty, StarCraft II being dated, and how one man accomplished the impossible. But more on that in the actual episode!
