Next Gen News - Episode #41

November 24th, 2010

The Halo movie is coming, Microsoft swears.

How about that and a few other news topics as a single host dives into this past week in gaming related news. Joey Davidson is flying solo this week, so expect a few longing stares into the distance as the co-host chair sits empty. Erik will be back next week, but this foray into individuality will likely help Joey through those awkward teenage years.

Next Gen News - Episode #40

November 17th, 2010

Welcome to the celebration that is Next Gen News - Episode #40. This is CraveOnline’s weekly gaming podcast with your hosts Joey Davidson and myself, Erik Norris. But also joining us once again is Joey Esposito, CraveOnline’s Comic Editor and co-host of CraveOnline’s comic podcast, The Book Report.

This week’s party episode is heavily focused on Activision. Gamers are currently pretty pissed at the company everyone loves to hate (what’s new, right?), but you might be surprised at the stance we take in the matter. Also, Joey Esposito takes time to express his love for the Sly Cooper series and details how he’s one step shy of being a “furry.”

Please subscribe to our show on iTunes (we want to keep our jobs), and also follow us on Twitter at @CraveNGN. We’re constantly posting up funny videos, links, articles and doing frequent giveaways! That’s all for now, see you next time!

Next Gen News - Episode #39

November 10th, 2010

Welcome back to Next Gen News, CraveOnline’s weekly gaming podcast. After last week’s rip-roaring discussion of the PSP Phone and the Schwarzenegger vs. EMA court case with guest host Joey Esposito from The Book Report, this week sees a return to pace with just your regular hosts, Joey Davidson and myself, Erik Norris, returning to talk gaming. However, the new format remains intact, with a heavier focus on discussion instead of quick news blasts!

Let’s just subtitle this episode “Beating a Dead Horse.” Within you will find Joey and I discussing three recently released games (007: Blood Stone, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Goldeneye 007) and using these games as platforms to deeper discussions topics. Topics we have talked about before, but maybe not in this much depth on the show.

And as always, subscribe to Next Gen News on iTunes, and follow us on Twitter at @CraveNGN. Leave us some feedback on the new format as well, because we’re going to keep doing it unless you tell us otherwise.

Next Gen News - Episode #38

November 3rd, 2010

Welcome back again to Next Gen News, CraveOnline’s weekly gaming podcast with your hosts Joey Davidson and Erik Norris. We’re treating our thirty-eighth episode like it’s a one hell of a special occasion. That’s why we’ve got a new format we're testing out, plus a special guest host in The Book Report’s Joey Esposito.

This week we discuss the Schwarzenegger v. Electronic Merchants Association (EMA) court case that could mean the censorship/banning of mature video games, as well as the rumored Sony PSP Phone. And finally, Joey and Joey team up to roast Erik for his consumer whore-ish ways.

As always subscribe to our show via iTunes, or download it for later listening via the link provided. Follow us on Twitter at @CraveNGN and let us know what you think of this new format.
