Next Gen News - Episode #64

May 25th, 2011

This week’s episode of Next Gen News tastes like nostalgia. We’re taking it back old school with your original two hosts, Joey Davidson and Erik Norris, to talk E3 hype. This week’s show is full of high gym socks, incredibly short shorts and cardboard boxes to breakdance on.

Erik and Joey are actually the two unfortunate souls that will be covering the editorial aspect of E3 for CraveOnline. So to gear up for the week long gaming spectacle, they’ve chosen six games that will be showcased at E3 and discuss why they’re excited for them. Some are givens, while others might surprise. Oh, the suspense, we know it’s killing you, so listen in!

This one's a doozy. We're pretty sure Mike was hungover, Alex is "Mr. Personality," Joey sounds like he's on crack and Erik is the only one capable of holding the rickety old ship together. Fantastic.

This week's show centers around two large topics. First off, we discuss Sony's "Welcome Back" package and apology to PSN subscribers. We even talk about those that have managed some way to gripe about the free games being offered.

Then we talk Valve and their proposed policy to make jerk gamers pay more to play and speak. We love it, Alex doesn't. Par for the course here on Next Gen News!

Listen up!

Next Gen News - Episode #62

May 11th, 2011

Welcome back to the Western World!

Joey and Erik just spent a week eating and drinking their faces off in Japan. 'Twas glorious.

But on a week light in news, beyond the PSN and its struggles, the two have come back to the podcast ready to share tales of Japanese arcades. With Mike White, Joey and Erik strap in and talk arcade culture, both in the States and the Land of the Rising Sun. It's different over there, we promise.

So sit back, relax and enjoy a show centered around arcades: the way we remember them, what they've become and the way they've been in Japan for a while.

Celebrate.
