Next Gen News - Episode #148

March 27th, 2013

We're home from PAX East 2013, and boy are we tired. Even several days after the show has ended and we've slept soundly in our beds, the Crave gaming team is wrecked. Not too wrecked to talk about our favorite titles, though.

A bunch of games made our list of favorites. We're talking everything from Octodad to Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Transistor. We saw a ton of awesome, amazing, creative content at PAX East this year. Prepare your earholes, we're coming in!

Next Gen News - Episode #147

March 20th, 2013

We’re back with a new episode of Next Gen News, CraveOnline’s weekly gaming podcast, with your hosts Erik Norris, Joey Davidson and Mike White.

Unlike most episodes where we stick to just one topic, this week’s show is jam-packed with quite a few talking points. Chief among them is the current state of affairs at EA Games, what with the SimCity fiasco still (kinda) ongoing and the company’s CEO John Riccitiello (I spelled it right on the first try!) stepping down effective at the end of the month. We also talk about Phil Fish’s throwback platformer Fez making the jump to the PC platform. And finally, we hit on PAX East, which is fast approaching this weekend in Boston. Listen in to find out what we’re excited to check out at the convention (hint: it isn’t all beer and food).*

Next Gen News - Episode #146

March 13th, 2013

We're here to talk about Xi3's Piston. This thing is a modular computer that, supposedly, came because Valve asked the company to make it. It is, according to Xi3, the first official Steam Box. But, damn, it's expensive.

It checks in at $999 in its most basic form. Get ready for a lot of anger.
