Next Gen News - Episode #154

May 29th, 2013

Here we are again with a brand new episode of Next Gen News. Don't worry, we go out of our way to earn that profanity tag on iTunes. You're welcome, world.

This week's show is all about the Xbox One and how it fits into the gaming industry at large. We try to keep positive (failing, of course) and hit the major news from the system's unveiling. Tune in, get angry, torches sit below the coat rack on the way out.

Next Gen News - Episode #153

May 15th, 2013

Welcome to a new episode of Next Gen News, CraveOnline’s weekly gaming podcast, with your hosts Joey Davidson, Mike White and myself, Erik Norris. This week we’re talking video game soundtracks.

Over the course of this week’s show we’ll run down what makes a good soundtrack, what makes a bad soundtrack, and if we prefer original orchestrated music over licensed tunes like those found in the Grand Theft Auto games.

And real fast: sorry for the less than stellar sound quality this time out. That will be ironed out next week.

Next Gen News - Episode #152

May 8th, 2013

This week's episode of Next Gen News is all about the EA pick up of the Star Wars from Disney.

At least, that's what we intended. We talk about all of that good stuff, but we also derail the train to more absurd and ludicrous discussions. It all centers around the films, the games, EA, Disney and a bet. Yep, there's a bet.

So listen in.

Next Gen News - Episode #151

May 1st, 2013

The rumors are not true. We were not canceled. Welcome back to a new episode of Next Gen News, CraveOnline’s (quasi) weekly gaming podcast, with your hosts Joey Davidson, Mike White and myself, Erik Norris.

Now that we’re back in the swing of things, we dedicate this episode to talking about Respawn Entertainment’s rumored massively-multiplayer mech shooter and its always-on internet requirement. That’s right, this is another episode where Joey, Mike and Erik bitch about how crappy always-on is and why they don’t want to see single player stories go the way of the dodo.
